My hometown is Gyeongju. It is a small population of about 26 thousand. However area of Gyeongju is bigger than Seoul. Gyeongju is attract and beautiful views, many flowers and unique remains. In spring, many flowers bloom especially cherry blossoms. Gyeongju has a great cherry blossom place and opens an exciting event that is the cherry blossom marathon. In summer, the weather is very hot but wind cools the weather off. In autumn, people fly a kite near Cheomseongdae. The sky is packed with kites. Gyeongju of winter is Warm weather. I love my hometown Gyeongju.
             

This summer vacation I went to the horror carnival in Gyeongju. I hung out with my friends. It was fun, exciting and interesting. I dressed up in Hanbok that was ghost costume with face paint and a long black wig. I saw a horror magic show. It was a fantastic show that was amazing magic. I hunted other ghosts with water gun. The weather was very hot but a water gun fight cooled the weather off. Finally I escaped from the maze and went to eat BBQ. I made happy memories with my friends in this summer vacation. I want to invite other friends next time to the horror carnival in Gyeongju.

Gyeongju is famous for its specialty food, Hwangnam bread. Hwangnam Bread is a soft, light bread filled with sweet red bean paste. It was first baked in 1939 by Choi Yeong-hwa. You can buy Hwangnam bread at many shops around town, usually in boxes which can also be given as gifts. Hwangnam bread keep three generation handmade tradition now. Hwangnambread carve pattern of Korea’s Tradition in the front. The secret of success is simple form and good taste.
